New and Improved
Have you ever given yourself too much time to study for a test? Heh, generally I think people who study two whole days before a test are retarded. I typically find myself studying up to the very last second possible before I take the darn thing. Heh, short-term memory is the best, except on exams. But I always found myself in a paradox of emotion between hating and enormously admiring those who were totally calm and collected before a test due to the fact that they started studying for it three weeks before! So now that I’m in college and a mature and responsible adult I decided that I needed to take more charge and become like those weird people who study for tests over a period of time, rather than at the lunch break the day of the test, or in the class period prior to the test. So I devised a plan, I had two big tests, one in art and one in anthropology, which were both due on the 12th (Saturday) by midnight. I decided that I would get all my other assignments for the week completed by Wednesday, and then have Thursday and Friday to study for the tests. Between Thursday morning and Saturday afternoon I don’t know what happen…. But somehow, I never studied. I had nothing else to do, but somehow I couldn’t sit down and study, cuz the whole time in the back of my mind I kept telling myself that I had lots and lots of time to study. I even tried to reason out that if I studied on Thursday for a test that I took on Saturday that I would just forget all the stuff anyway and then do worse on the test than if I had studied right before hand. Which, even now strangely makes sense to me! So yeah, even though I allotted the time well in advance, (well in advance for me anyway), I still ended up not studying until I absolutely had to, ending up with a B in Art and a C in anthropology… argh, so much for my mature outlook on college life, everything will always be last minute with me!
