My Sister Finally Came!

After almost being delayed for two days due to extreme weather conditions in New York, My sister Michelle has finally arrived! She got in Manila at around 11:00 this morning. It's only been a few hours so things are still a bit unsettled. I'm 21 now, and the last time I saw her I was 15 or 16 – can’t quite remember. But a lot of things have changed since then. Consequently, things are a bit awkward at the present but hopefully we'll get used to one another and get back into the swing of things...Only there never was a swing of things because I was only around five or six when she moved out of my life for college and then to New York to live. In this respect it’s definitely weird having a big family for some of the older siblings are just so old that you end up not knowing them at all. Of course I’m not saying that I don't like being a part of a big family, but it definitely has it's disadvantages – especially if we want to go to amusement parks or movies together the bill ends up being enormous! But it also has its advantages. There's always someone to talk to when you're feeling sad, or laugh with when you’re feeling happy. We can play most any sport and have enough family members to make up two teams. It's great - definitely more advantages than disadvantages, (of course I’m slightly biased...ok a lot biased, but I’m certainly going to have a big family).

On another note, the Sadi Hawkins banquet is today. Ruth and Mary are all dressed up and commanding us to drive them EVERYWHERE and back again. haha they're such little prima donnas it's hilarious how they expect all their needs to be met immediately, or else their lives are RUINED! But you've got to love them in spite of their heinous faults
